Kelly Chen gave birth to a son on July 10, 2009. Ever since, she has been at home taking care of him. After 2 month rest, she announced that she’ll be returning to work on September 3, 2009. Her first job back at work would be to attend Maxim’s Mooncake press conference and will be leaving to Singapore in 4 days to cut the ribbon for TOD. Because Kelly did not want to leave her son, Chace Lau Sing, behind for too long, she would be going on an early flight back to Hong Kong the next morning.

As for Kelly’s husband Alex Lau, the other night he and a male friend attended Khalil Fong’s concert. He was asked why he didn’t bring his wife along? He nodded his head and did not respond. Asked about how Chace is doing lately? He said: “Okay. He got very chubby. (How many pounds?) ask his mom. (Did Kelly successfully lose the weight?) OK.” He expressed that he supports Kelly going back to work, he greatly respects his wife.
