Dam Vinh Hung, a Vietnamese internationally-known singer, was attacked during a concert at the Santa Clara Convention Center Sunday night by Ly Tong. Ly Tong was later arrested by the San Joe Police.
Police say Tong went to the event dressed as a woman and worked his way through the audience to get to the stage close to the end of the show. He reportedly offered a flower to Hung Vinh Dam and then pepper-sprayed him.
There was a brief evacuation of the Convention Center while ventilation was taking place. The concert later resumed.

The attack has been condemned by by nitizens. TCvirus008, in a comment on Youtube, called it an “coward act”. “However, seen this video, a grow man, with background as an military pilot, and dresses up as woman just want to attacking a singer? That for me is very low, and coward. If you want to help our country get higher education and encourage the youth to get higher education and some day they will help to transcend our country,” wrote TCvirus008.

I think the act was a far cry from stupidity. A man that has serve his country, born an raised for the purpose of dying for his nation has done an upstanding job in portraying his image. An activist that has proved that Vietnam a nation that turned on itself needs help. Adding to the drama, from the pictures shown of him dressed as a woman, if the singer Dam Ving Hung, could not tell that it was a man; then he must be gay. There are better transvestite in LA and Vegas. I think everything must be rethought through before making a harsh judgement.
