No one would have thought that Jessica Alba would have climbed as high the ladder of success as she has. Jessica started acting got her first major roles in 1994. Since, she has acted in many roles on television and ultimately landing large film deals that have made her a hit throughout America.

Early Life:

Jessica Alba struggled with many health problems, insecurity and friendlessness as a young child. She grew up in a military family, which meant she moved around a lot, and as a sick child, getting pneumonia several times a year, caused her to become hospitalized throughout her life. As a result of these things making friends was hard. As she grew older and her health improved Jessica began acting, and fell in love with it.

Career:

Her first acting class started when she was 12 years old, and less than a year later, she got an agent. She went to the Atlantic Theater Company when she was 16, right after she graduated from high school.

Jessica had already appeared in TV commercials, shows, and several independent films, but nothing substantial came her way until she appeared in Never Been Kissed starring Drew Barrymore, and she actually was the female lead in the 1999 horror film Idle Hands.

In 2000, Jessica won the attention of director James Cameron. She was picked for the star role in the sci-fi television series Dark Angel until the show ended in 2002, which opened many doors to the film industry.

Most notably, Jessica has starred in the two Fantastic Four films as Sue Storm. She was also picked as Nancy Callahan, the aspiring dancer, in Sin City.
