Vietnam refuses to host Miss World 2010, Vietnam will not host Miss World 2010, official says.
On April 2, the Government Office issued the official written document to the Khanh Hoa province, in which the Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan agreed with the proposal of Khanh Hoa province not to host Miss World 2010 in Nha Trang. This is the reply to the official documents of Khanh Hoa sent to the Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan on March 2, 2010, asking for not to host Miss World 2010.
Miss World 2010 will not be held in Vietnam
The document clearly stated that Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan agreed with the proposal of the People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa Province on not hosting the Miss World 2010 Beauty Pageant.
Earlier, Mr. Vuong Duy Bien, Deputy Director of Performing Arts Department has also written to the Ministry of Culture – Sport & Tourism on declining to to host the beauty contest in Vietnam after quite a few problems related to the withdrawal of sponsors, rejection of Khanh Hoa and the unapproved relocation to Tien Giang province…
The trouble began to emerge in September 2009, when the RAAS Group, the sponsor of Miss World 2010 in Vietnam, expressed the wish to relocate the venues from Khanh Hoa to Tien Giang but didnot receive the approve by the Deputy Prime Minister.
So, after two years of preparation, the 60th Miss World Pageant will not be held in Vietnam. It’s unclear where the Beauty Pageant will be held though there has been much rumor that it might be held in China.

Our major issue in this country is our two political parties. Our forefathers knew that a two party system would be our downfall and took steps to try to stop this type of politics, and thus anyone who seriously thinks that politics isn’t corrupt or slaves to Corporate America hasn’t not been paying attention. George Jr. will go down in History as one of the worst administrations in history and I could go on for hours showing why, but my point is that the Obama administration has offered nothing different (besides health reform, granted) and has in fact continued nearly every single Bush program. Obama has almost the same political donors and thus has the same pressures as Bush did. Health reform will turn out to be the most expensive and destructive waste of tax payer money ever. I just wish I could offer a better alternative for other frustrated people, but I can’t and those that think that the tea partiers are the future, remember that Sarah Palin is an important figure to them.

Thank you for a very clear and helpful post. I am definitely a violator of many of these rules. I often find myself conflicted when writing a blog post because I see myself writing more than people want to read, but I feel that I have to do the subject matter justice by thoroughly covering it.
