Yes, Jennifer Lopez is on the cover of Elle this month and she was on Allure last month and she obviously has a great PR team. However, they might have wanted to check up on her when she was doing her interview with Latina Magazine . The howls of laughter you can hear reverberating throughout the world are probably from when the Latina reporter read aloud this quote from Jennifer Lopez to the rest of the staff. “I feel like I had that (Oscar role) in ‘El Cantante’, but I don’t even think the Academy members saw it. I feel like it’s their responsibility to do that, to see everything that’s out there, everything that could be great.” Wow. Really? Well, I saw it and she and I must have been looking at two totally different movies. She was looking at the one in her head and the one her handlers told her they saw and not the one that was real. To show you that Jennifer is still hip and Jenny from the block she actually used the word dope in a sentence. Seriously. And she wasn’t referring to her husband or drugs. “I had just given birth on the 22nd (February), and the Oscars, I think, were a day or two later. I was sitting there with my twins (and) I couldn’t have been happier, but I was like, ‘How dope would it have been if I would’ve won the Oscar and been here in my hospital bed accepting the award?’ – ‘Thank you so much! Lange’s frantic mom called 911 Saturday morning after she entered his Hoboken apartment and found the bloodied funnyman, a law-enforcement source said. Lange sustained six “hesitation wounds” and three deep plunges. A source close to Lange’s management team confirmed that the Howard Stern sidekick stabbed himself, adding that his mother had come to visit him that day to drop off food. Surgeons managed to save Lange despite heavy bleeding. “We all have our demons,” Stern said on-air this week, referring to Lange’s past battles with addiction. “Artie has given this show tremendous moments of great comedy. Harper’s Bazaar has been in existence since 1867. It was America’s first fashion magazine. It was the home of Richard Avedon, Carmel Snow, Andy Warhol and so many others has sunk so low that they gave a cover story to Miley Cyrus and even worse called her a cherub in their article. Seriously. Please find me a picture of a gum smacking, “like” saying, cherub. Seriously? This is what this magazine has turned into? “Miley’s own look is slightly tougher (though her face is that of a cherub, and it’s only so tough you can look with eyes as wide as hers).” Hang on a second, I just threw up a little bit in my mouth. Oh, here are some highlights of the interview. On the Vanity Fair photos (and her lie)- “Here, my parents are thinking they’re seeing a beautiful picture by a major photographer, and the people of America want to see something dirty in that?” Now, if you will recall, her parents said they had no idea about the picture at all or what kinds of pictures were being taken because they were not there. They said the first they saw it was when they got the magazine. So, someone is lying here because Miley is flat out saying that both of them saw it and implying they both approved it. On her stripper pole performance on Nickelodeon – “People like controversy because that’s what sells. My job is to be a role model, and that’s what I want to do, but my job isn’t to be a parent. My job isn’t to tell your kids how to act or how not to act, because I’m still figuring that out for myself. So to take that away from me is a bit selfish. Your kids are going to make mistakes whether I do or not. That’s just life.” Apparently pole dancing is how she wants to be a role model? If she knows she is a role model then why would she do it? Miley then does the sob story. She talks about crying in her mother’s lap because she was so happy to be leaving LA to make a movie in Georgia. Oh, and she has never felt at home anywhere. All of us need to cry for her now. Oh, and then it is ok that she got a tattoo because it was for a good cause. Uh huh. I think Cystic Fibrosis would have liked a nice check and not a tattoo above her breast which is going to be seen everytime she poses nude beginning next year. “It reminds me not to take things for granted. I mean, breathing—that was something none of them could do, the most basic thing,” she says. “And I put it near my heart, because that is where they will always be.” Uh huh. Whatever. It is Justin, altered to Just Breathe and I don’t know why I forgot to reveal that blind item. It is a great cover story though. Great, great PR spin. So, there you have it. There was a report that Gary Coleman was admitted to a hospital here in LA this morning. He is going to be fine so it is ok to joke about what what his rep said. He said Gary was in town doing promotional work. Really? Someone is giving Gary work? The rep made it seem really casual like it happens all the time, but all I can imagine Gary doing is cutting the ribbon on some 99 cent store or judging a “What you talking about?” contest. The couple – who have been dating since September and got engaged over New Year – have shocked friends by revealing their wedding plans are already well underway and have asked pals to keep dates free for the nuptials. Russell, 34, has reportedly already asked his manager, Nik Linnen, to be his best man and told him to start preparing a speech. A source told The Sun newspaper: “Russell caught everyone off guard with the engagement. Miss Perry found it, he proposed, and she immediately said ‘Yes’. “After that they requested 45 minutes’ privacy. They looked like they were beautifully in love.” The couple were in India for a Christmas holiday, a present from Russell to Katy, and they have since moved on to Thailand to celebrate their engagement.
